1632 Grader/Box Scraper
Whether you use it to grade roads, remove snow, dig irrigation ditches or clean feedlots, the model 1632 grader/box scraper is designed to move material quickly and efficiently. productivity starts with a 16-foot by 32-inch blade with a six-inch forged replaceable cutting edge for wide coverage with each pass. Yet, transport width can be reduced to as little as eight feet, four inches with the blade cylinders unpinned and placed in transport position. best of all, the model 1632 essentially gives you two machines in one. To go from grader to box scraper, simply straighten the blade and lower the standard- equipment, fold-down box ends. within minutes you’re ready to smooth and level any area.
- Two 19 x 16.1 tires carry the load on 8-bolt rims and 8,000-pound spindles, offer a wide stance and added flotation to control the blade depth.
- a weight box over the axle is designed to hold approximately 1/2 yard of concrete (1,500 lbs.) for stability against side draft.
- a hydraulic cushion valve provides blade breakaway for built-in protection.
- a pintle hitch design ensures quick hook-up.
- The blade angles 45 degrees left and right — more than any grader on the market — with the help of a 5 x 24-inch welded industrial cylinder.
- a 4 x 12-inch cylinder provides up to 15 degrees of tilt for tasks like building terraces or digging irrigation ditches.
- a 4 x 16-inch welded hydraulic cylinder provides controls raise and lower functions and up to 30 inches of ground clearance.
- The standard-equipment lighting package provides added safety during transport.
7431 VT Plus
The scraper bar is mounted to the cushioned gang hanger to allow the scraper and blade to move with one another and eliminate the possibility of the scraper and gang coming into contact. A two position, reversible scraper blade gives the operator the option of fine-tuning the unit in wet or dry soils. The one-piece scraper arm eliminates moving parts and allows increased residue clearance.
Offer smooth performance in rough field conditions. Reduces bounce and stress to the frame and bearing areas. Allows even penetration and working depth across the width of the machine.
The conditioner reels utilized on the rear of the VTplus put the finishing touch on your operation. Smooth 7/8" Diameter rods make up the 14" reels which firm up the soil profile when preparing a seedbed, or provides clod breaking action when utilized in a primary operation.
Fore/aft leveling is adjusted hydraulically for fine-tuning the machine to any field condition.
No greasing is required on the lift system or wing hinge pivot points. Metal to metal contact is eliminated with the use of maintenance free bushings. This will save the operator time on a daily basis, and parts wear is eliminated in these areas.
Ultra-low concavity blades spaced on 7" centers make up the front and rear gangs. This combination ensures even cut-out across the width of the machine. The shallow concavity provides a sweeping action which helps move the soil laterally to mix and anchor residue. In wet seasons, stirring a small amount of soil on the surface will speed up the drying action, allowing you to plant sooner than waiting on the soil to dry on its own. Or in a drier condition, the anchored residue will stay in place and help keep a cover on the soil for moisture retention.
